Ecco has long been at the centre of the artisan coffee revolution in Cape Town, South Africa

We were one of the first to introduce Capetonians to artisan coffee and beautiful latte art inspired flat whites. We supplied Origin Coffee Roasters and Seattle Coffee company with all their front-line food items back in 2005, when the Mother City was first waking up to the delicious aroma of freshly roasted artisan coffee. Our baristas have a long and skilled history in creating sublime works of latte art for eager Capetonians.

One of the things we are asked a lot, by our customers and other coffee shop owners and restaurateurs is “can’t you train us to do that? “

Over the years we have trained many baristas and launched many cutting-edge operations all over the Mother City.

We are proud to announce that our ECCO BARISTA ACADEMY is now up and running since Dec 2019

For years our training was done informally to private citizens or industry specialists.

Now we can say our Academy is formally up and running in our state-of-the-art café located in Salt River Cape Town.

95 Durham avenue, Salt River is now MISSION CENTRAL for all barista training.
